TOUR MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP WILL BE GRANTED to anyone who is able to travel independently or is accompanied by someone capable of assisting him or her during the tour. American Dream Tours reserves the right to remove any passenger from any tour if that passenger's actions or condition(s) disrupt or threaten to disrupt the tour or when the safety of other passengers is threatened by the condition or actions of that passenger. In the event a passenger is removed from the tour, American Dream Tours is only liable to refund any unused portions of the tour.
INSURANCE
During the tour American Dream Tours PROVIDES LIABILITY COVERAGE for all tour members. Medical accident coverage is available at a nominal cost. We recommend that you check with your insurance agent to verify coverage, especially if your travels go outside the United States. If you rely on Medicare coverage, we recommend that you consider obtaining additional medical coverage for travel outside the U.S.
TRIP CANCELLATION/INTERRUPTION INSURANCE is available for protection against cancellation charges either prior to or during your trip as well as homeward carriage, should you be unable to continue on your trip. Insurance for cancellation/interruption will not normally cover cancellation due to illness or medical conditions existing at the time coverage is taken. However, A WAIVER OF PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS will apply if trip-cancellation insurance is paid within seven (7) days of your tour reservation. American Dream Tours is not responsible for personal accidents, sickness or medical expense.
TRAVEL TO CANADA
A PASSPORT IS REQUIRED to travel to Canada via motorcoach. If you would like to travel to Canada we suggest that you get a passport at your earliest convenience. This will prevent any additional expense and eliminate any potential hassle should you suddenly need a passport to meet a trip deadline.
PUNCTUALITY
PLEASE BE ON TIME AND ON SCHEDULE. This shows your fellow passengers both consideration and respect.
MOVING THE MOTORCOACH: Sometimes it is necessary to move the coach. If this happens, please don’t panic and think you have been left behind. Stay calm and remain where you are; we will find you.
MOTORCOACH POLICIES
PLEASE REMAIN SEATED WHEN THE COACH IS IN MOTION. No smoking is permitted onboard the coach. We will make rest stops approximately every two hours and allow smoking outside the coach. All passengers must disembark the motorcoach at all rest, meal and attraction stops. This is an insurance requirement to enable both the driver and the escort to receive their necessary breaks.
SEAT ROTATION: In order to provide equal opportunity for each person to view scenery from different areas of the motorcoach, we have a policy of seat rotation on all tours longer than one day. This will be explained at the beginning of each tour. Normally the seat directly behind the driver is reserved for the escort. Air conditioning and heat are also provided for your comfort. A jacket or sweater may be helpful when sitting next to a window. We do lock the coach, but American Dream Tours is not responsible for anything left on the coach. If you are subject to motion sickness or upset stomach, we advise you to bring medication with you
ARRIVALS AT OVERNIGHT STOPS
PLEASE REMAIN ON THE COACH while the escort goes into the hotel for keys and room assignments. While you’re waiting you’ll have time to gather your personal items. Then be seated, as the driver may have to move the coach for unloading. Your bags will be numbered and delivered to your room as soon as possible. If you should receive someone else’s luggage, please notify the front desk or the escort. If you have a problem with your room, please contact the escort. Always use the chain latch on your door and always check sliding glass doors to be sure they are locked. Get familiar with the fire escapes. When someone knocks, ask for identification. Always carry some identification as to where you are staying, such as hotel key, matches, itinerary, etc. Should you become lost, contact the local police department for assistance.
ROOMING/ROOMMATE CLARIFICATION
EACH TOUR'S COST is based on two persons sharing a room. In most cases this will be a room with two double beds, but on rare occasions one double, queen or king bed may be substituted. A SINGLE SUPPLEMENT RATE is available for most tours, representing our cost as charged by the lodging facility. If you are traveling alone on an overnight tour and wish to share a twin room, we will try to pair you with another tour member. However, American Dream Tours is not responsible for finding anyone a roommate. If a roommate cannot be found, you will be charged the single supplement rate. If you requested an adjoining or adjacent room at the time of your booking, the hotel will be notified. They usually do their best to honor the request, but understand that sometimes it is just not possible.
MAIL
MAIL IS USUALLY GIVEN to the escort at the time of check-in along with room keys. If you are expecting mail, double-check with the mail desk.
MEALS
ALL MEALS INCLUDED WITHIN A TOUR ARE LISTED IN THE ITINERARY. You are responsible for any meals not included in the tour price. However, we will make an attempt to stop at moderately priced restaurants. Most of our motorcoach tours do not include many meals in the price of the tour because we have found that the majority of our tour members do not wish to pay for more than they care to eat.
TIPPING
Tips for BAGGAGE HANDLING to and from your room are included in your tour package. MEALS that are part of the tour also include the gratuity.
NOT INCLUDED in your tour package are gratuities for cocktails, maids, services of a personal nature, and meals that are not part of the tour package. Ten percent is the suggested amount for these services.
DRIVER AND ESCORT: American Dream Tours does not require passengers to tip the driver or the escort. Tipping is strictly a personal decision based on your evaluation and appreciation of the services rendered. For the driver and escort, gratuities are recommended at one dollar a day per person. We do request that any gifts be offered on an individual basis (and that group collections not be taken).
PHONE CALLS
Most hotels and motels CHARGE FOR LOCAL CALLS. Please take care of any room charges BEFORE going to breakfast so we can checkout without delay.
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
The names, addresses and phone numbers of all our tour participants are KEPT CONFIDENTIAL prior to departure.
CONDITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AMERICAN DREAM TOURS ACTS AS ONLY AN AGENT for travel arrangements and cannot be held responsible for missed connections by carriers or for any delays, loss, damage or injury to person or property, for substitutions of hotels or carriers, or for other expenses incurred. American Dream Tours reserves the right to make changes to the tour as necessary in order to operate the tour and maintain the safety and/or enjoyment of its tour members. American Dream Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time with no responsibility beyond the refund of all monies paid by tour participants.
